Minister Sheikh Hasina will address the nation on Friday as the Awami
League-led government enters the final year of its tenure.Her speech will be aired by Bangladesh Television, Bangladesh Betar and all private television channels at 7:00am, sources in the Prime Minister's Office said.
The prime minister is expected to highlight in her speech the government's efforts and successes in the last four years as the Awami League-led ruling alliance enters the final year of its tenure.
Earlier on January 6, the prime minister postponed her schedule address to the nation as necessary 'formalities' have not been completed, highly placed sources said.
