Dhaka, Aug 6 The Election Commission has prepared a roadmap for the next two years with a target to hold the 10th national elections between Oct 26, 2013 and Jan 24, 2014. Election Commissioner Shah Newaj told journalists on Monday that they would hold talks with the political parties, representatives of civil society and media in October with the draft of election laws and amendment of rules.
He said the voter list would be finalised by Jan 2013 after publishing the draft on Dec 18.
"We will be firm about our roadmap," he said, "but it can be changed if situation demands."
The Commission finalised the roadmap on Sunday when they also decided not to use electronic voting machine in the national election, ending months of uncertainty about the issue opposed by the main opposition BNP.
