Raha’s body was exhumed from her grave at Azimpur
cemetry under supervision of an executive magistrate Shamima Akhtar Shanti,
Mohammadpur Station SI Anwar Hossain said.
The Lux Channel I Superstar hanged herself from the ceiling fan in her room on Mar 22.
Investigating officer for her case SI Anwar Hossain was present there along with Raha’s father Ali Azgar.
SI Anwar Hossain submitted a plea for an autopsy to Dhaka’s Chief Metropolitan Magistrates Court on Monday.
Metropolitan Magistrate Jainab Begum ordered that the case documents be sent to the Dhaka District Magistrate.

gave Shanti the responsibility on Shanti following a plea from Mohammadpur
Police Sub-Inspector Anwar Hossain.
“Raha’s body was found hanging from the ceiling fan in her room on Mar 22. She lived with her parents at their house in Mohammadpur’s Chan Mia Housing. Her father had buried her in Azimpur cemetry without informing the local police of her death,” the plea read.
However, Raha’s father Ali Azgar filed a case of ‘unnatural death’ at Mohammadpur Police Station on Sunday night.
Raha returned home on Friday night with two of her friends ‘Oishik’ and ‘Lamia’. She supposedly told her mother that she was not feeling well and went to sleep after having a lemonade, the case statement read.
Her family members knocked on her door to wake her up in the morning. Getting no response, they broke in to find her body hanging from the ceiling fan.
