President’s condition remains unchanged

President Zillur Rahman, currently undergoing treatment at a Singapore hospital, has not made any visible progress.

He was admitted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH) in Dhaka Saturday night with respiratory problems. Later, it was decided to fly him to Singapore for better medical treatment.

“He (the President) is ageing and suffering from lungs complications. His condition has not changed much from what it was in Dhaka,” Rahman’s son Nazmul Hassan MP told bdnews24.com.
Hassan said doctors at the Mount Elizabeth Hospital would be able to tell more about his current condition after a few hours.
Zillur Rahman took office as Bangladesh’s 19th President in 2009. He celebrated his 85th birthday on Mar 9.

He has been hospitalised several times due to poor health. He also had had a medical check-up in the United Kingdom in December last year.
