The
High Court will pass an order on Wednesday on a petition seeking
direction on Awami League and BNP chiefs to sit for a dialogue to
resolving the ongoing political stalemate.
The date was fixed on Tuesday after holding hearing on the writ petition that also sought HC injunction for stopping the ongoing political violence including shutdown.
Eunus Ali Akond, a Supreme Court lawyer, filed the petition on March 14.
He also requested the court to pass an order on the authorities’ concern to create a congenial atmosphere for holding a free, fair and acceptable parliamentary election in the country.
The writ was moved before the bench of Justice Md Nizamul Huq and Justice Zafar Ahmad.
