Law enforcers also rounded up four people while they were trying to torch a bus in Farmgate area around 2:35pm, said Apurba Hasan, officer-in-charge of Tejgaon Police Station.
No casualty was reported from the fire, said duty official of Fire Service and Civil Defence.
The arson incidents took place near City College building, New Market area and Anti-Corruption Commission office in Segunbagicha.
Miscreants set ablaze to a bus on Mirpur Road near City College in the capital around 11:30am, fire service officials said.

The four, who were detained during an attempt to set fire to a bus, were identified as Mahtab Hossain, Zahid Hossain, Ariful Islam and Mashiur Rahman.
Of them, Mahtab, Zahid, Ariful are students, the OC said.
