The March 2 photo shows two vehicles allegedly vandalised by activists of BNP and its allies at Shantinagar in the capital.
The High Court on Sunday granted bail to eight BNP leaders including the party’s acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir for four weeks in five separate cases filed on charges of violence in the capital.
The cases were filed against 38 BNP leaders and activists on charge of vandalism and explosions in the capital during the party’s demonstration programme on March 2.

The seven other leaders are Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Mirza Abbas, Gayeshwar Chandra Roy, Amanullah Aman, Abdullah Al Noman, Barkatullah Bulu and Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annee.
A High Court bench comprising Justice Quamrul Islam Siddiqui and Justice Sheikh Md Zakir Hossain granted them the anticipatory bail after hearing separate bail petitions filed by the accused leaders.
On March 6, the same court gave verbal order to the government not to harass the eight BNP leaders including its acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir until it hears the bail petitions they submitted on the day.
Of the cases, two were filed with Ramna Police Station, two with Paltan Police Station and one with Shahjahanpur Police Station
