Govt to take steps against anarchists: MKA

Home Minister Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir
Home Minister Muhiuddin Khan Alamgir on Sunday warned that the government is taking proper steps to deal with those responsible for creating anarchy in the country.
“No individual or organisation can instigate anarchy...those, who are doing so, don’t want peace in the country and the government is taking steps to tackle them,” the minister said.
The home minister came up with the remarks after a meeting with visiting Public Order and Citizen Protection Minister of Greece Nikolas Dendias at his secretariat office.

About today’s shutdown, Muhiuddin said people have rejected the hartal as they do not support any destructive activities.
About attacks on media and journalists, the minister said the media houses came under attack following instigation by a particular quarter. “The government is preparing itself to deal with them (instigators) with a strong hand.”
Eight Islamist parties enforced the shutdown protesting what they said attacks on their Friday’s demonstrations, and also demanding punishment of ‘atheist’ bloggers.
