Fugitive guard held in Sagar-Runi case

Journalist couple Sagar-Runi
Rab claimed to have arrested Humayun Kabir alias Enamul, the fugitive security guard of the building in which the killing of journalist couple Sagar-Runi took place in February last year.
Earlier, the home ministry had announced a bounty of Tk 10 lakh for Enamul.
Ovishekh Ahmed, deputy director of Legal and Media Wing of Rapid Action Battalion, said a team of elite force arrested Enamul from Brahmanbaria Railway Station area around 4:50am Saturday.

Another source of Rab however earlier told The Daily Star that Enamul was arrested nearly a week ago from an undisclosed place in a northern district of the country.
Sagar Sarowar, news editor at the private TV station Maasranga, and his wife Meherun Runi, senior reporter at ATN Bangla, were killed in the small hours of February 11 at their rented apartment in the capital's West Rajabazar.
After his arrest, Enamul has been brought to the Rab headquarters in the capital on Saturday morning.
Rab will reveal the detail of the drive during a press briefing at its headquarters later in the day.
Enamul was first picked up for questioning in connection with the Sagar-Runi murder case on February 11 last year. Later, he was released.
After Rab took charge of the investigation from the police, they said they were looking for Enamul to probe the case.
