acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Sunday filed a
petition with the High Court seeking bail in a vandalism case.Kalabagan police filed the case on December 9 last year on charge of vandalising vehicles during the countrywide road blockade enforced by BNP-led 18-party alliance.
The police showed him arrested in the case on January 16.
The HC bench of Justice Quamrul Islam Siddiqui and Justice Sheikh Md Zakir Hossain today fixed February 4 (Monday) for hearing the bail petition filed by Fakhrul.
Advocated Sagir Hossain Leon, a lawyer for Fakhrul, told The Daily Star that the BNP leader secured bail in five cases out of six filed against him following the December 9 road blockade.
