She made the call when Singapore's visiting State Minister for Foreign Affairs and Home Affairs Zulkifli Masagos met her at her office in the morning.
Hasina's Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad told journalists that the Prime Minister had also urged the Singapore state minister to import ceramic products, medicine and readymade garments from Bangladesh.
She also called on the investors in Singapore to invest more in the potential sectors in Bangladesh.
Both Hasina and Masagos emphasised on increasing bilateral assistance in various sectors.
Azad said the visiting minister praised Hasina for her able leadership under which various Bangladeshi sectors had flourished.
The Press Secretary also said Masagos recalled his last visit to Dhaka in 1999 and quoted him as saying, "Bangladesh has made much development since that time."
The Prime Minister hoped that the friendly bilateral relationship between the two countries would be strengthened in the future, Azad said.
