assured Bangladesh of bringing down casualties along the border between
Bangladesh and India to a zero level. The BSF chief was talking to reporters following a director general-level conference between Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and BSF in the capital.
The meeting began at BGB Pilkhana headquarters on Wednesday, which ended on Friday.
About the sensational Felani murder, Bansal said those involved in the killing have been suspended and a court of inquiry is going on into the incident, which will be completed soon.
Felani, a 15-year-old girl, was shot dead by BSF men on January 7, 2012 at Fulbari in Kurigram while she was returning to Bangladesh with her father. Later, India expressed regret and sympathy at the killing of the minor girl.
The BSF DG also said India had given Bangladesh specific information about the camps of Indian criminals in Bangladesh and the Bangladesh authorities dismantled some of those after operations.
