BSF takes away body of Bangladeshi man
Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) took away the bullet-hit body of a Bangladeshi citizen, which was found inside the Indian territory opposite to Damurhuda bordering area of Chuadanga Saturday morning.
The victim, Sahed Khan, 30, was a son of Ramzan Ali of Borobuldia village in Damurhuda upazila, reports out Kushtia correspondent.
Colonel Sultan Ahmed, commanding officer (CO) of 35-BGB Chotobila camp in Chuadanga, said, “People saw the body around 8:30am at Mokamtola field, about 100 yards off 83 Chotobila BOP (border observation post) inside the Indian territory.”
Later, BSF members, who are from Mokamtola camp in Kestaganj of Nadia district in West Bengal, India, took away the body in presence of the BGB men, the OC said.
Col Sultan said the BSF members took away the body for conducting autopsy.
BGB sent a letter to BSF asking for a flag meeting over returning the body and the Indian border guards have responded positively, the CO said.
Quoting the victim’s family members, the BGB officials said Sahed, an unemployed youth, left home on Friday evening and remained untraced since then.
