Welcoming his efforts for holding a dialogue between the heads of the Awami League and the BNP over the caretaker government issue, the BNP leader urged the government to listen to Rafique.
Mosharraf was addressing a discussion on banking sector at Jatiya Press Club, Prothom Alo reports.
Rafique on Saturday said he was ready to take on any responsibility for the sake of the country.
Asked if there was any possibility of a dialogue between Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the opposition leader Khaleda Zia, he said, "I am scheduled to talk to one of them and may speak to the other. I will try my best to do this for the sake of the country."
About the Gazipur by-poll, Mosharraf claimed that empty polling centres indicate that people have rejected the election under the political government.
