4 killed in Sirajganj road mishap

Sirajganj, Sep 4  At least four persons were killed and five others injured on Tuesday when a truck and a human hauler collided head-on.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hatikumrul Highway Police Station Ali Farid Hossain said the accident happened on the Hatikumrul-Banpara highway in Tarash upazila's Charhamkuria area around 12pm when the hauler lost its control and crashed into the Rajshahi-bound truck, killing four on the spot.
The deceased were identified as Nuronnobi Master, 62, of Sodai village at Ullapara Upazia in Sirajganj, Mokshed Ali Vandari, 65, of Nadou Syedpur village of Tarash Upazila, 'Asad', 39, of Shibaloy Upazila of Manikganj district and Batashi Hijra,35, of Bagura's Sherpur.
The OC said the injured had been sent to Sirajganj Sadar Hospital for treatment.
"The bodies have been handed over to their families," he added.
