BSF whisks away on-duty ASI
Comilla, Sep 26 India's Border Security Force on
Tuesday night caught hold of an on-duty Assistant Sub Inspector along
Burichang border in Comilla and took him away with them.
The Border Guard Bangladesh is trying to get the Bangladeshi law-enforcer back.
According to Burichang Police Station Officer-in Charge Golam Shahnewaz, ASI Nurunnabi was armed, in his uniform and carrying out a court warrant when he was held by the BSF personnel at Zero Point in Ghilatoli along the border around 9:30pm.
BGB 33 Battalion's Lt Col Md Akhtaruzzaman said they were contacting their counterpart for rescuing the police officer.
"A flag meeting is expected to take place at Shankuchail along the border for reaching a settlement," he said.
