Khaleda greets Obama for his re-election

It’s a good message for all democracy-loving people, says Fakhrul

Leader of the opposition and BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia on Wednesday congratulated US President Barack Obama on his re-election as president of the United States of America.
BNP Chairperson’s Press Secretary Maruf Kamal Khan said Khaleda warmly congratulated President Obama who has been re-elected to a second term as the US president.
Earlier, in his instant reaction, BNP acting secretary general Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir termed Obama’s victory a good message for all democracy-loving people.
“We think, the victory of Obama a good news for all pro-democratic people,” Fakhrul told reporters after placing wreaths at the grave of party founder late president Ziaur Rahman with leaders and activists of the party on the occasion of National Revolution and Solidarity Day.
He also greeted Obama for his re-election for another term in the While House.
President Barack Obama has been re-elected to a second term, defeating Republican challenger Mitt Romney.
With results in from most states, America's first black president has secured the 270 votes in the electoral college needed to win the race.
Mitt Romney has conceded defeat in the presidential contest.
In his victory speech before supporters in Chicago, Obama said he would talk to Romney about "where we can work together to move this country forward".
