During the visit, the two ministers are expected to discuss important bilateral issues such as border security, smuggling of drugs and a review of the implementation of the border management agreement as well as infrastructure development at the international border outposts.
Discussion on killings of Bangladeshis by Indian Border Security Forces (BSF) is expected to dominate the talks, sources said.
A nine-member delegation including additional home secretaries Dr Kamal Uddin Ahmed, Shafiqul Islam and Additional Inspector General of Police Mukhlesur Rahman will accompany Alamgir, an official of home ministry told BSS Monday.
A number of agreements on extradition, stopping border killings and smugglings are expected to be signed during the visit, he said.
The Bangladeshi home minister will also visit the National Police Academy in Hyderabad, where Bangladeshi police officials will soon be given training on capacity building, according to a press release of High Commission of India, Dhaka.
