6 die in Barisal, Sirajganj road crashes

Six people including a minor girl were killed and eight injured in three separate road accidents in Barisal and Sirajganj on Saturday morning.
Of the deceased, four were killed in Barisal while two in Sirajganj.
Our Barisal correspondent reports, three people were killed when a truck run over a human hauler on Dhaka-Barisal highway at Rahmatpur in Babuganj upazila around 8:45am.
The deceased were identified as Ripon Peyada, 46, Ratan, 45, and Brishti, 12.
Md Shahidullah, officer-in-charge of Barisal Airport Police Station said the accident occurred when a sand-laden truck run over the human hauler on the highway, leaving its eight passengers injured.
The victims were rushed to Sher-e-Bangla Medical College Hospital where duty doctors declared Ripon, Ratan and Brishti dead.

Meanwhile, Mafia, a seven-year-old school student, died after a human hauler hit her on her way to school around 9:00am.
She was the Class-1 student of Tilok Government Primary School of Sadar upazila in the district.
Out Sirajganj correspondent adds: Two people were killed when a goods-laden truck rammed a CNG-run auto rickshaw at an intersection in Koddar near Bangabandhu bridge in Sadar upazila around 7:00am.
The deceased were identified as Abdur Razzak, 30, driver of the auto-rickshaw and Mehedi Hasan, 20.
Sohrab Ali, officer-in charge of Sirajganj Sadar Police Station, said five passengers of the auto-rickshaw sustained injuries during the accident.
Of them, Razzak and Mehedi succumbed to their injuries at Sirajganj General Hospital, the OC said.
The three were undergoing treatment at the hospital, he added.
