enforcers Tuesday morning arrested 10 Islami Bank officials of
Motijheel branch in connection with a case filed for November 5
Jamaat-Shibir mayhem in the capital.Hayatuzzaman Mollah, officer-in-charge of Motijheel Police Station, told The Daily Star that the arrest was made as they have information that some staff of the Islami Bank Motijheel branch were involved in the clash.
The detention was made between 8:30am and 9:45am, the OC added.
On November 5, at least 100 people including 22 policemen were wounded as the Bangladesh Jamaat-e-Islam and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir supporters fought with the law enforcers, turning Motijheel, Dilkusha, Paltan, Dainik Bangla and Topkhana Road areas into a battleground.
