The court fixed Tuesday for further hearing on two separate petitions filed by the Anti-Corruption Commission seeking permission for freezing the accounts.
Earlier in the morning, Judge (in-charge) Md Akhtaruzzaman of the Senior Special Judge's Court ordered freezing of 252 accounts after ACC Deputy Director Mojahar Ali Sardar and Assistant Director Toufiqul Islam filed the petitions.
The permission for freezing accounts was sought so that the Destiny officials could not launder or transfer money to other accounts.
ACC Public Prosecutor Kabir Hussain told The Daily Star today that the judge first allowed the ACC pleas for freezing the accounts. But after an hour a written order was passed saying that the hearing on the petitions would be held on Tuesday, he said.
The reason behind the withdrawal of the earlier order could not be known immediately.
