As well as, five special trains will run for five days after the Eid day for the Dhaka-bound people, Prothom Alo reports on Saturday quoting railway Director General Abu Taher.
He said this while visiting Kamalapur Railway Station in the morning.
During the visit, he talked to the people standing in a long queue for tickets since morning.
Meanwhile, the railway authorities started selling advance tickets for different intercity trains to ease public sufferings ahead of the Eid.
The tickets will be sold from 7:00am to 4:00pm till October 17.
According to the schedule, tickets for October 22 and 23 will be sold on Saturday and Sunday (October 13-14) while tickets for October 24, 25, and 26 will be available on October 15, 16, 17 respectively.
Railway will sell a total of 13,577 tickets for different routes on the occasion of the Eid-ul-Azha.
