ICT ministry and UGC jointly organised the workshop in association with Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and The world Bank.
Mr. N I Khan, in his speech as special guest, mentioned that the government took a sort of project to leverage ICT for the country growth , employment and governence.
He also pointed out about the UICS sucusses and the running and upcoming projects to skilled country youths providing different kind of training and certificate course on ITES and Language what may help the self employment and develop the entrouprenearship.
The government has the project activities to develop 30,000 manpower for IT/ ITES including 20,000 ICT graduate and 10,000 trained Science Graduate and BCC has working on it- he added.
He also request the financial institute and academy and concern industry leader to come forward and work together to make all the discussed projects a success.
UGC Chairman Prof. Dr. A K Azad chowdhury mentioned that Government has taken many initiatives for betterment of IT industry of the country what is appriciated.
As the Academacians have the capacity to transfrom the society so ICT is requiered here to transform. In this connection, the univercities of the country are implements this issue seriously. This kind of effort surely helps all University to move forward, he added.
Mr. Rezaul Karim said, "The ICT oppertunities for the country and show the growth of our IT professionals both in employment and outsourcing."
The potential of IT is huge and government expected the treble to US$ 1.5 to 1.6 trillion by 2020 by use this potentiality, 50,0000 will be accomaded in industry and 10,00000 will be in freelancing has also expected as per the present senario- he added.
"To encourage the freelancer of the country Bangladesh Bank is working on the transaction system and allow to transact maximum 2000$ of amount without any cost what was 500$ earlier", said Deputy Governor of Bangladesh Bank Nazneen Sultana.
Prof. Dr. Md. Akhtar Hossain, Member of University Grant Comission promised that UGC will be provide their full support in future also.
Mr. Hideo Hoya, Chief Adviser, JICA ITEE project was described about the history of ITEE in japan including its outlook.
He also pointed out the know hows of the certificate exam. ITEE Certificate Examination will not only enhence your technical knowledge but also the managment skill- he added.
There was an interactive question answer session held where the audience were participats enthusiously.
The number of Academician and Industry leaders were participants at the workshop including Media.
A scientific session was held on relevent projects after the inagural session.

Rezaul Karim, Project director, ITEE Management Project, UCG , Conducted by Dr. SK Amzad Hossain, Project Director, IT Certification Examination by JICA ITEE Project conducted by Mr. Hideo Hoya, Chief Adviser, JICA ITEE project.
The innugural session was spoke, among others, by BASIS President Fahim Mashroor, CUET,CSE Associate Profesor Mir Mohmmad S Kawsar,on respective field.
