Anti-Corruption Commission chairman Gulam Rahman made the commitment in a reply to World Bank report on Padma Bridge.
The ACC reply has been submitted to Finance Minister AMA Muhith.
When contacted, the ACC chairman told banglanews, “We gave explanation of all objections raised against ACC by WB expert panel. The main point of the report was ‘Why Abul was not sued? We have cleared our point of view in this regard.”
ACC reliable sources said seven people were sued as per evidence including data-information and documents received during preliminary investigation. The anti-graft body now is conducting next episode of investigation. For the sake of further investigation, a two-member ACC team visited Canada last May.
ACC did not get such evidence against Abul Hossain that prompt to file case against him, but it is working sincerely to get data-information, the sources added.
Earlier on Tuesday, the World Bank (WB) expert panel has published its probe report over corruption allegation on much-talked-about Padma Bridge.
The investigation report was published on the website of the World Bank on Tuesday night.
The expert panel opined that the investigation made by Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) was not complete and transparent.
On June 11, the World Bank handed over to the government its final probe report on the corruption plot in the Padma bridge project.
Finance Minister AMA Muhith received the report from WB Country Director Johannes Zutt at his Secretariat office Tuesday morning.
