The deceased were identified as Golap Khan, 90 and his son Ismail Khan, 14, a student of class nine of Gholkhar high school.
Gholkhar police outpost SI Enamul Haque told banglanews, “Supporters of Asmat Ali and Rusmat Ali locked into a fierce clash over a dispute of residence boundary, leaving 17 others injured.”
Golap and Ismail were rushed to Brahmanbaria Sadar Hospital. Later they were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where they succumbed to their injuries at around 2:30am.
Family sources said, Golap Khan’s son Mujibur Khan and his daughter Masuda Khanom were admitted to Comilla Combined Military Hospital while others were sent to Brahmanbaria District Sadar Hospital.
The condition of Mujibur and Masuda is critical, hospital sources said.
