Friday’s exams deferred in Ctg Board

Friday's HSC and equivalent examinations of the Chittagong Education Board has been rescheduled due to inclement weather caused by cyclone Mahasen.
Prof Taslima Begum, Chairman of Dhaka Education Board and Inter-education Board Coordination Subcommittee, told bdnews24.com that the rescheduled examination, English second paper, will be held at 10am on June 3.

The examination of English second paper was scheduled for May 9, but was deferred to May 17 due to ‘Bijhu’, the biggest festival of the 11 ethnic minorities in the Chittagong hill tracts region that fell on that day.

The Thursday’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examinations in all the educational boards were also rescheduled for May 25 due to the cyclone.

All the schools and colleges in the coastal zones of Chittagong were declared closed on Wednesday noon as the cyclone was approaching towards Bangladesh coast.

General schools, colleges and some hotels are used as shelters during cyclone.
