FBCCI President Kazi Akram Uddin came up with the plea in a discussion meeting with 30-member US delegation at FBCCI Bhaban in the city on Monday.
The FBCCI president also urged the delegation to give preferential market access for all exportable Bangladeshi products, including readymade garments, pharmaceuticals and green technologies.
Kazi Akram urged US business delegation to invest in the tourism, ICT, backward linkage, fishery and agricultural sectors, light engineering, enjoyable commodities, ship building and telecom sectors of Bangladesh.
First Vice-President of FBCCI Manwara Hakim Ali, Vice-President Helal Uddin, Director General of Foreign Ministry Nazrul Islam, TCB Chairman Brigadier General Sarwar Jahan and Shahjalal Majumder of BAIRA were among others present at the meeting.
On the other hand, the US businessmen advised their Bangladeshi counterparts to develop in the sectors of ICT, technology, frozen food, service sector and manpower.
They also urged to ensure the working environment of the labourers as well as their own image.
Bangladeshi businessmen urged their US counterparts to invest in the sectors of technology and infrastructural development.
Director General of Foreign Ministry Nazrul Islam said, “The government will provide all out helps to improve the relation between the private sectors of both the country.”
