After the meeting, Cabinet Secretary M Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan told journalists that the enhanced allowance would be applicable for all four categories of gallantry award recipient war heroes of 1971.

He said, “The monthly allowance of the Birshresthas has been ascertained Tk 12,000, Biruttam Tk 10,000, Birbikram Tk 8,000 and Birprateek Tk 6,000.”
