The court also directed to give him division and proper treatment as he fall sick due to last 3-day’s hunger strike demanding withdrawing the case filed against his mother, releasing 19 Amar Desh press staff and allowing to publish Amar Desh.
On April 14 night, Dhaka district administration filed a case against Abul Asad, owner of Al Falah Printing Press and editor of Bangla daily Sangram, and Mahmuda Begum, acting chairman of Amar Desh, for printing the daily at the Al Falah Printing Press without government permission.
As per the court order, Detective Branch (DB) police raided at the Daily Amar Desh printing press and sealed it off on April 11.
Earlier on the day, DB Police personnel arrested Daily Amar Desh acting Editor Mahmudur Rahman from his Karwanbazar office.
In the latest development, the authorities of the Bengali Daily Amar Desh declared closure of its publication temporarily as the government sealed press of the newspaper.
