Tuesday, July 17, 2012 Finance Minister AMA Muhith said on Tuesday that no one was assigned to collect money from the public for the construction of the Padma bridge.Asked about raising fund for Padma bridge by the activists of the ruling party's student wing Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL), the finance minister branded them as ‘extortionists’.
"They (BCL men) should be beaten up," Muhith said while talking to journalists at his office at Bangladesh Secretariat at noon.
