The success rate of students under eight education boards, the Technical Education Board and the Madrasa Education Board is lower than that of last year by 4.37 percent, according to officials.
Among the general education boards, Sylhet Board stood highest on the list on the basis of passing rate with 79.13 percent while Chittagong Board was placed at the bottom with 61.22 percent.
Besides, 74.04 percent students passed in Dhaka Board, 67.49 percent in Jessore board, 77.69 percent in Rajshahi board, 71.98 percent in Dinajpur board and 61.29 percent in Comilla board.
Meanwhile 91.69 percent students have passed in Madrasa Board while 85.03 percent in the Technical Education Board
Education Minister Nurul Islam Nahid along with chairmen of all education boards handed over the results to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at 10:00am.
The results are available at Education Ministry’s website www.educationboard.gov.bd and students can get the results over SMS. To get the result, the candidate has to go to ‘message’ option and type HSC first 3 letters of examination board then roll number and send to 16222.
The Education Ministry is set to publish the results through a press conference in afternoon, the official said.
On April 1, the exams began and a total of 1012,582 examinees appeared for the exams. This year 84,767 more examinees appeared sit for the exams than last year.
