In Dhaka, refusing the verdict against Quader Mollah, Chhatra Shibir, student wing of Jamaat-e-Islami, brought out a procession in the Bijoynagar Water Tank area in the capital on Tuesday noon.
At that time, they blasted several cocktails and vandalized a private car in the area and tried to block the road.
Witnesses said that around 25-30 Shibir activists attended in the procession.
Around 50-60 Shibir activists came out with a procession at the Laxmibazar Mohilla College at the noon.
They blasted three cocktails and tried to vandalize vehicles but police reached there quickly and dispersed them.
In Chittagong, Jamaat-Shibir activists brought out protest processions in the port city and torched two vehicles including a police van.
They also attacked police, leaving two cops injured. Police arrested three Jamaat activists from the spot.
In Rajshahi, leaders and activists of Rajshahi Metropolitan Chhatra Shibir staged demonstration from New Market area to Najmul Haque Girls School of Kadirganj against the Quader Mollah verdict.
Later in a roadside rally on Tuesday morning president of MetropolitaN Chhatra Shibir Aisur Rahman termed the verdict as farcical.
In Chapainawabganj, Jamaat Shibir activists brought out protest processions and barricaded Chapainawabganj-Sonai Masjid highway.

Besides, they blasted cocktails and vandalized a few vehicles to panic people.On information, police and BGB personnel reached the spot and dispersed them.

In Sirajganj, Shibir activists locked into a chase-counter chase with police several times and threw brick bats to police.

Earlier, the Appellate division on Tuesday sentenced Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah to death for his involvement in crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971
The Apex Court passed the verdict at 9:37am after concluding the hearing on appeals filed against inadequate sentencing and conviction of war criminal and Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah.
On February 5, International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 sentenced Quader Mollah to life in prison for his involvement in crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
