In Satkhira, Jamaat-Shibir activists blocked Satkhira-Jessore and Satkhira-Kaliganj highway by felling trees on the roads.
Besides, they blasted cocktails and vandalized a few vehicles to panic people.On information, police and BGB personnel reached the spot and dispersed them.

The Apex Court passed the verdict at 9:37am after concluding the hearing on appeals filed against inadequate sentencing and conviction of war criminal and Jamaat leader Abdul Quader Mollah.
On February 5, International Crimes Tribunal (ICT)-2 sentenced Quader Mollah to life in prison for his involvement in crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
