Liam Hemsworth has just catapulted into the higher echelons of superstardom with his role in "The Hunger Games," but the actor isn't jumping the gun in other areas of his life just yet.

Despite rumors he and girlfriend Miley Cyrus, 19, are poised to say "I do," Hemsworth definitely did not put a sparkly diamond ring on her finger, a source close to Cyrus told Us Weekly.

The Hollywood wild child had fans scratching their heads when she tweeted out a shot of her well-manicured left hand - with a large sparkler on her ring finger - late last week.

"I am soooo obsessed with @jennahipp nail foundations! It looks so chic and classic!" she wrote to accompany the photo, making no mention of the prominent ring.

Cyrus also donned the same bauble on her left hand Saturday while attending a Muhammad Ali-hosted charity event with Hemsworth, 22.

But there have been tell-tale signs that the jewelry might not bear any engagement significance: namely, the singer previously tweeted a photo of what appears to be the same ring on her finger back in February.

The caption mentioned the neon green nail polish she was wearing, but again, not the jewel itself.

Hemsworth and Cyrus have been dating on-and-off for three years now, since first meeting on the set of their movie "The Last Song."
