Kim Kardashian is sounding very much like an adult, after Jon Hamm slammed her in a recent magazine interview.
Hamm called Kardashian and Paris Hilton "(expletive) idiots" in an interview to be published in next month's issue of Elle UK. "Whether it's Kim Kardashian or Paris Hilton or whoever, stupidity is certainly celebrated. Being a (expletive) idiot is a valuable commodity in this culture because you're rewarded significantly."
Kardashian addressed Hamm's statement Monday on Twitter, saying "Calling someone who runs their own businesses, is a part of a successful TV show, produces, writes, designs, and creates, 'stupid,' is in my opinion careless."
Careless? If I didn't know better -- and let's face it, I really don't -- I might think that Kim Kardashian is taking the high road.
Kardashian also wrote "I respect Jon and I am a firm believer that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and that not everyone takes the same path in life. We're all working hard and we all have to respect one another."
Speaking of people who Kim Kardashain may or may not respect, Kris Humphries wants his soon to be ex-wife to pay up.
Apparently the duo made a financial killing off their fake wedding. Er, I mean their sincere nuptials that for some reason had to be undone 72 days later.
TMZ reported Monday that before they got married, Humphries and Kim Kardashian opened a joint account in which they deposited all the

money they made from the wedding and other ventures. Apparently Humphries did get some cash for selling wedding photos and appearing on the Kardashian reality show. But all that money went into the joint account and he never saw any of it, he says.
Is he trying to say that a Kardashian wasn't completely upfront, fair and honest?
Of course, if it was a joint account, Humphries could've accessed it, but didn't. Obviously, the ball has bounced off someone's head a few too many times.
TMZ reported that Humphries wants millions from Kardashian as part of the divorce settlement. but he also says he doesn't care about the money -- he just wants an annulment, for which he would have to prove that the marriage was fraudulent.
Is he trying to say that a Kardashian wasn't completely upfront, fair and honest?
Humphries' lawyer wouldn't comment to TMZ.
WHITNEY'S DAUGHTER TALKS TO OPRAH: In her first interview since Whitney Houston's death, daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown said she's "doing as good as I possibly can" and recalled the tender last moments she shared with her superstar mother before her sudden death last month.
"She's always with me," said the 19-year-old, Houston's only child and sole heir. "Her spirit is strong, it's a strong spirit. I feel her pass through me all the time."
Brown made the comments in a Sunday interview with Oprah Winfrey on Winfrey's network, OWN, that also featured Pat Houston, the singer's manager and sister-in-law, and Gary Houston, the brother of Whitney Houston.
Brown credited her family and God for helping her cope since her mother's death on Feb. 11 at the age of 48.
"It comes in waves. One moment I can be happy and laughing, but then it comes over me. It's my mom," she said.
Houston, who struggled with drugs and alcohol in the past but according to family had been apparently clean, was found in a bathtub at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on the eve of the Grammys. She was to attend a pre-Grammy party the night she died.
Brown said the night before her mother's death, she asked Houston to spend the night with her.
"I slept in her arms all day, all night long," said Brown, whose father is singer Bobby Brown.
Pat Houston said in the days before Houston died, the singer had not been abusing drugs, despite reports that she had been acting erratically. She said an event she attended two days before her death where Houston looked disheveled was particularly difficult because the legendary performer got into a verbal spat with a former contestant on the "X Factor." Pat Houston would not name the woman, but Stacy Francis has said that she and Whitney Houston had words that night.
According to Pat Houston, Francis "made herself present everywhere we were," unnerving Houston and leading to an argument.
The day of her death had been uneventful, according to her manager. Houston had lunch in her hotel and was preparing for her mentor Clive Davis' annual party. Houston was scheduled to tape an infomercial and other interviews that day.
Pat Houston went out to run errands for about a half-hour and when she came back, Whitney Houston's assistant went to check on the singer.
"When I headed down the hallway (to her room), I heard screaming," she said.
When Pat Houston arrived in the room, she saw the singer's security guard frantically trying to revive her ahead of the paramedics. He told her: "I tried."
Pat Houston said the singer had "a peaceful look on her face." The cause of Houston's death has not yet been revealed.
The 90-minute television special also touched on the singer's ex-husband, Bobby Brown, who had a tumultuous marriage with Houston. While some have accused Brown of introducing Houston to drugs, leading to the once pristine singer's downfall, Pat Houston said that was untrue, and both Pat and Gary Houston had warm words for Brown.
"I loved Bobby Brown. Bobby was a good guy," said Gary Houston, her older brother. "I don't know how good they were for each other."
They also denied that the Houston family had asked Brown to leave her funeral service or didn't want him to come; Brown showed up briefly but left after a dispute over seating.
"Bobby was supposed to be there," said Gary Houston.
Pat Houston said Bobby Brown and his daughter have a relationship, but indicated they hadn't spoken since at least Houston's funeral.
Bobbi Kristina Brown said she planned to carry on her mother's legacy and become a singer, as well as act and dance. She expressed frustration over the "negativity" surrounding her mother's image: "That's not my mother."
Instead, she described her as her confidant, a sister, her best friend -- "my everything."
She still spends time in the house she and her mother shared together, and at times said it's hard to believe she's not there.
"Sometimes, it's so surreal. I still walk into the house like, 'Mom?'" she said. "But I've accepted it."
SUPPORTERS OF 'BULLY' WANT ITS RATING CHANGED: Politicians are now involved in the fight to get the Motion Picture Association of America to change the rating of upcoming documentary "Bully" from an R to PG so more kids can see it.
The advocacy tools website Change.org announced on Monday that 20 members of Congress have signed on to a petition asking the MPAA to lower the R rating it gave to director Lee Hirsch's documentary.
"We are writing to express our sincere disappointment in the MPAA's decision to issue an 'R' rating for the soon-to-be-released documentary Bully," the bipartisan group, led by Rep. Mike Honda, D-California, wrote in a letter accompanying the press announcement. "This important project shows the real life anguish of many teenagers in this country who are tormented, harassed, and bullied by their peers. This truth should be shared with as wide an audience as is appropriate and possible. We believe an R-rating excludes the very audience for whom this film is desperately important."
So in the movie someone says the word "potty." Is that really such a big deal?
The petition, started by high school student Katy Butler, has garnered over 275,000 signatures, helped by public support from Ellen DeGeneres, Demi Lovato and New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees. Its uplifting grass roots message has worked in tandem with a harder approach from the film's executive producer, Harvey Weinstein, who has threatened to pull out from the ratings board over the matter.
The film has been given a PG rating in Canada, which is obviously a country full of godless people who support socialized health care, but the MPAA has held firm, while the National Association of Theater Owners have threatened to treat Weinstein's future releases as it would NC-17 films if he leaves the ratings board.
Sounds like a mature bunch down there.
Monday's announcement comes days ahead of what will be a short cease-fire in the battle, when Weinstein and the MPAA co-host a showing of the film for Washington DC-area principals and educators. After the screening, Weinstein and MPAA Chairman Chris Dodd will participate alongside educators and childhood health advocates on a panel about the film's message.
JOHN MAYER OUT OF COMMISSION: John Mayer announced he's canceling his upcoming tour because of a vocal cord injury.
USA Today reported Mayer broke the news on his blog. He had a granuloma on his vocal cord last fall and it's grown back.
"This is bad news. Because of this, I have no choice but to take an indefinite break from live performing," Mayer wrote. "Though there will be a day when all of this will be behind me, it will sideline me for a longer period of time than I care to have you count down."
OK. I just started counting down, but out of respect for John, I'll stop.
Mayer goes on to explain, "a granuloma forms and continues to snowball because it's in a spot where the vocal cords hit together and there's no way to really give it a chance to heal without a good stretch of time and some pretty intensive treatment."
Earlier this month, the "Your Body is a Wonderland" singer announced a release date for his forthcoming album "Born and Raised." It will come out on May 22 and the first single, "Shadow Days," is available now on iTunes.
Feel free to buy it. But remember -- no counting down.
EDDIE MURPHY MOVIE NOT DOING WELL: This comes as a complete shock to many entertainment insiders, but apparently Eddie Murphy has made a movie that is flopping.
If you're under 20, you likely don't understand why this might even be remotely humorous.
Murphy's new movie "A Thousand Words," about a man who only has 1,000 words left to say before he dies, only came in sixth place at the box office this weekend, earning just $6.4 million, according to the Associated Press.
Right - not a lot of people knew Eddie Murphy has a new movie out. Apparently the studio didn't exactly empty out the promotional budget for this one. Go figure.
In fact, "A Thousand Words" is the first wide-release movie of 2012 to earn a score a zero percent rating from critics on RottenTomatoes.com -- meaning all 37 reviews were negative.
Ouch.
But "A Thousand Words" isn't the only major disappointment of the year so far. "John Carter" only came in second place in its debut weekend, earning $30.6 million -- despite the $250 million that Disney reportedly spent on the movie. And Nicolas Cage's sequel "Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance" debuted below industry expectations over President's Day weekend, performing less than half as well as the first installment.
That's right -- Nicolas Cage may have made a stinker as well. What in the world is happening out there? Next thing you know, David Lee Roth will up and rejoin Van Halen.
